During their co-op semester, students work 32 hours a week for 13 consecutive weeks in work experiences that are carefully selected to provide appropriate learning environments and productive, relevant work. Through this course, students work with a faculty mentor who helps them to make critical connections between the knowledge they have learned in their many academic classes with the real-world reality of work in the field, effectively linking theory with practice.
