Emphasis is placed on research methods and findings relative to human sexual behavior. Topics discussed will typically include: the development of sexuality, the formation of attachments, the varieties of sexual expression, sexual problems and their treatment, and legal aspects of human sexual behavior. The course will explore signs of physical, emotional, and verbal abuse, various forms of neglect and their long term effects. Students will gain an understanding for the responsibilities required of mandated reporters throughout various professions.     Psychology 3 Credits This course will take an in depth look at the etiology, diagnostic criteria and current treatment modalities used in working with patients with eating disorders. Students will develop an understanding of the correlation between mass media and negative body image and disordered eating behaviors, while learning the medical complications that result from those who suffer from these disorders. Students will also learn about current prevention models and strategies used throughout communities that serve to alleviate the growing epidemic of eating disorders.
