This graduate level online course is for social studies teachers and features specific strategies designed to increase student literacy development and achievement in social studies through the use of primary and secondary historical sources. Candidates will learn how functional grammar can be used to supplement traditional reading strategies that help students comprehend both primary and secondary historical sources and meet the state social studies standards.
