Theories of representation for the state/prosecution as well as for the defendant will be studied. Students will have the opportunity to apply the theory through model criminal cases. Prerequisites: Introduction to Law, PRLG-0121 and Legal Research I, PRLG-0131, and PRLG-0132, Litigation I.

3 hours credit Business entities such as corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietorships will be Corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietorships will be examined. The role of the lawyer and the legal assistant in forming these entities will be discussed along with the legal concepts applicable to each type of organization and the preparation of related documents. Students will study an actual case through discussion of all the steps involved before, during, and after trial.
