Through a series of active learning scenarios, students will be exposed to the myriad of information sources available to them on the free web, in subscriptions databases, and in libraries. Students will learn how to distinguish, discern, describe and critique the values, uses and perspectives of the different sources in relation to real-life, information-seeking situations. They will also learn how to cite properly information in different formats. As much as possible, relationships to each students own concurrent course work will be used in these scenarios and in the homework.
