This course will assist early childhood students and professionals in building i n c l u s i v e , e q u i t a b l e a n d c a r i n g communities for learning. This course examines stereotypes and bias, fosters respect for differences, and facilitates the development of tolerance, peace and justice in early childhood settings. Students will examine and develop positive intergroup attitudes and behavior and learn to modify their own teaching strategies so that children and families from different ethnic, language, cultural, ability, age and social groups will experience equal educational opportunities.
