The course will provide guidance for students who will be providing IT or computer technology in non-traditional work environments, including, gas and oil field operations, Process Technology applications, farming / ranching, machine shop /automotive environments, and geographically challenging locations. The course will look at technology designed for these environments, applications targeted for these environments, as well as tools, components, and solutions.

    The demand for well-trained, qualified employees with knowledge of and skills in programming is a growing field. In order to meet this demand, people must be trained so that their skills meet the requirements of the information technology world. This course is designed to build on the skills developed in the Csc138 class, Introduction to Programming. This course will look at other programming languages and advanced programming concepts.

    The main goal of this course is to provide the student with a fundamental understanding of network security principles and implementation. Students will learn about the technologies used and principles involved in creating a secure computer networking environment. Students will learn about the authentication, the types of attacks and malicious code that may be used against a network, the threats and countermeasures for e-mail, Web applications, remote access, and file and print services. A variety of security topologies are discussed as well as technologies and concepts used for providing secure communications channels, secure internetworking devices, and network medium. Further, students will learn about intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and physical security concepts. In addition, security policies, disaster recovery, and computer forensics are covered. Aside from learning the technologies involved in security, students will get to understand the daily tasks involved with managing and troubleshooting those technologies.

    This course is designed to acquaint the student with leading edge technologies and indepth discussions of current technologies. Furthermore, it will give the student an opportunity to do hand-on with leading edge products and concepts including VLAN and network futures, virtualization, GIS opportunities, wireless technologies, hardware design (microprocessor, memory, disk drives, etc).

    This course will create for the students an awareness of the need for a shift in current curriculum delivery to an interactive, project-based curriculum delivery. Students will look at and discuss current research available on this topic. This course will continue to make students aware of available online teacher tools and allow them to explore those sites as well as discover others.

    These courses are designed to provide students with additional job-related information networking skills while working at an approved work site. Minimum requirements for the course include: at least on hundred twenty (120) work hours per credit hour, supervision by the employer and the instructor, and a report of job experiences and hours worked. Must be taken in sequence. Prerequisite: Consent of the instructor.

    This is a laboratory course that provides supervised in practical aspects of theater production. Students must complete specific projects for college or studio productions.

    This course covers the fundamentals of stage awareness, scene analysis, character development and experiments in styles and forms of acting. Included is the use of body and voice in creating character. Scene work is separate from departmental productions.

    This course is designed to give the student experiential learning in aspects of technical theatre. A production course especially in tandem with theatre productions, it includes work in the following areas: lighting, sets, props, stage management, or sound.
