Description: The course will take a public health perspective in examining health disparities as they relate to African Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, Native Americans, and Asian Americans residing in the United States. Students will learn about important health issues affecting these groups and culturally competent interventions used to target chronic diseases. Description: Fundamentals of occupational safety, emphasizing regulatory requirements and best-practices targeted to eliminate major sources of occupational injuries. Hazard identification, behavioral safety, and incident investigation will be discussed.
