Description: The course will take a public health perspective in examining health disparities as they relate to African Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, Native Americans, and Asian Americans residing in the United States. Students will learn about important health issues affecting these groups and culturally competent interventions used to target chronic diseases. Reading materials are derived from two required texts and assigned articles. Grading: Regular grades are awarded for this course: A B C D E.
