It will also work on developing the ability to interpret and discuss some of the existing research/scholarship focusing on aspects of interpersonal communication, relationships, and health. Descriptive statistics, univariate, and multivariate statistics will be covered throughout the semester. Particular emphasis will be placed on the following areas: interpersonal communication, mass communication, health communication, political communication, and social influence. Although these topics will be given precedence, other areas such as small group communication, intergroup communication, family communication, and new media/technologies may also be addressed.
