Prerequisite: BUS 340 Offered occasionally This course is a study in the principles and concepts of sales, the strategy and management of sales, and current sales practices and trends. Students will obtain a thorough understanding of sales and sales management from a strategic viewpoint. Emphasis is placed on the planning and management of this discipline.

Prerequisite: BUS 340 Offered every semester Consumer Behavior focuses on the most important asset of any business - the customer. The consumer and the specifics of how and why consumers behave as they do is the subject of the course. Knowledge of the buying process and the factors influencing behavior help design the best marketing strategy - the mix of product, price, promotion and physical distribution to satisfy the needs and wants of consumers.

Focus is on getting things done by working with people and physical resources to accomplish the objectives of the organization. The basic functions of management - planning, organizing, leading and controlling - will be studied.

Prerequisite: BUS 350 Offered every semester/Fast-Track Spring II Human Resource Management is the study of principles and methods of general personnel management. Topics include staffing, evaluation, training and development, as well as compensation within the framework of organizational, governmental and societal goals and restrictions.

Prerequisite: BUS 350 Offered every semester Labor-Management Relations provides a theoretical, historical and legal framework to analyze current labor-management practices, issues and tactics in union organizing, collective bargaining, and grievance/arbitration administration. Students will learn the rights and responsibilities of unions and management, the methods employed in negotiating and administering a labor contract, and the vast array of issues subject to negotiation, including employee discipline, management rights, union security, and economic and administrative conditions of employment. Students will also gain an appreciation of the impact of various and complex environmental influence - such as the product market, the labor market, state of the economy and technology - on thelabor relations process.

Prerequisite: BUS 210 Offered every semester/Fast-Track Fall II Should be completed junior year. Finance is an introduction to corporate finance and the techniques used by financial managers. Topics include an overview of the financial environment, analysis of financial statements, consideration of risk and return on investment, the time value of money, valuation models of stocks and bonds, the cost of capital and capital budgeting, the capital structure and dividend policy of firms, and an overview of capital markets and the investment banking process.

Prerequisite: BUS 350 Offered every semester/Fast-Track Fall I Required for management majors. Organizational Behavior is an analysis of the behavior of individuals and groups in organizations. The purpose of this course is to enable students to anticipate and understand the attitudes and behaviors likely to accompany various types of managerial styles and to follow organizational changes. Topics include personality differences, learning patterns, work motivation, job satisfaction, stress, conflict management, leadership, influence processes, and group dynamics.
