You may receive up to 3.00 credits at Pennsylvania State University-Main Campus:

  • Basic concepts and quantitative relations. Students may take only one course for General Education credit from CHEM 110 or CHEM 101. GN To receive Natural Sciences General Education (GN) credit for certain chemistry courses requires both lecture and laboratory courses be taken. These courses are: (CHEM 106 or CHEM 110 or CHEM 110H) and CHEM 111; (CHEM 112 or CHEM 112H) and (CHEM 113 or CHEM 113B). Students may take only one course for General Education credit from CHEM 101 GN or CHEM 110 GN. Prerequisite: satisfactory performance on the Chemistry and Math FTCAP tests-- i.e. placement beyond the level of CHEM 101 and MATH 022; or CHEM 101 and MATH 022 or MATH 041
