AP Italian Language and Culture is based on developing students' reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills within a cultural frame of reference reflective of the richness of Italian language and culture. AP Italian teachers will focus on the structural aspects of the language while interweaving cultural content throughout the course. The AP Italian Language and Culture course will help prepare students to demonstrate their level of Italian proficiency across the three communicative modes (interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational), and throughout five goal areas-communication, cultures, connections, comparisons, and communities.
