If you complete the following with AP - Advanced Placement:

  • Students who enroll in AP French Language should already have a good command of French grammar and vocabulary and have competence in listening, reading, speaking, and writing. Although these qualifications may be attained in a variety of ways, it is assumed that most students will be in the final stages of their secondary school training and will have had substantial course work in the language.

You may receive up to 3.00 credits at Holyoke Community College:

  • Introduction to French through a conversational approach with emphasis on current grammatical expression in speaking and writing. Conducted mostly in French. To take FRH 101 for credit, a student shall have successfully completed no more than two high school years of study in that language. This policy may be waived for students who took their high school language course three or more years before they sign up for FRH 101. 3 class hours
