    Once you apply, be sure to have a copy of your official college transcript sent to the HCC Admissions Office. If you are requesting transfer credit, the college transcript must be an official copy.

  • Other Requirements:
    Placement testing is not needed if you have taken the CPT within the last two years, or successfully completed college level math or English at a previous college, so be sure to get your college transcripts to us as soon as possible!

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Credit is granted for courses carrying C- or better, regardless of the cumulative GPA at the previous institution. The college will accept courses carrying D grades only in cases where the cumulative GPA at the previous institution was 2.0 or higher.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    The limit of transfer credit from all sources, including CLEP, is in accordance with the College’s thirty-credit residency requirement.
