  • Second course in a sequence with PHYS 207 that provides an introduction to physics for those in the physical sciences and engineering. Emphasis on electro- and magnetostatics in terms of forces, fields and potentials, with some elements of circuit theory. Furthermore, magnetic induction and Maxwell's equations in integral form are introduced. Integrates conceptual understanding with extensive problem solving. PREREQ: PHYS 203 or PHYS 207/PHYS227, MATH 241 or MATH232. COREQ: MATH 242, PHYS 228.

Credits awarded for incoming transfer courses will be determined pending official University of Delaware admission offer. An equal amount of UD credits are typically awarded based on the number of incoming credits. Credits taken on a quarterly system are adjusted for semester credit hour conversion. The number of credits awarded for Transfer Electives will vary based on the credit-load taken at the original institution and the credit-load for the equivalent University of Delaware course(s).

Minimum Grade

You need a minimum grade of C to transfer these courses from Towson University to University of Delaware.
