  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    The admissions office offers a limited number of merit-based admission scholarships to full-time incoming transfer students who apply for fall admission by December 1. Awards are based on academic achievements without regard to financial need. To apply for grants or loans, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process.
  • Tuition and Fees:
    Estimated Undergraduate Cost of Attendance: $23,696 MD Resident, $48,748 Out-of-State. This includes tuition & fees, standard multiple occupancy room, and 14-meal plan.

    We accept transfer credit from regionally accredited institutions and institutions that are candidates for regional accreditation.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts must be sent directly from all of your previous institutions. Applicants with less than 24 transferable college credits at the time of application submission must submit an official final high school transcript.
  • SAT Scores:
    Applicants with less than 24 transferable college credits at the time of application submission must submit official test scores (SAT or ACT).
  • Application Fee:
    A $45 non-deferrable, non-refundable fee is required with your application. Students applying with a fee waiver will have the option to choose the type of fee waiver to be used during the payment section of the application.
  • Other Requirements:
    If you were academically dismissed from another institution, you must complete 24 transferable college credits after your dismissal in order to be eligible for admission to TU.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The minimum grade required for transfer credit is a D. Some TU degree requirements require a C or higher, including Core 2 English Comp, Core 9 Advanced Writing, and any major or minor requirements.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    2-year schools: Maximum of 64 credits; 4-year schools: Maximum of 90 credits; More than one school: Maximum of 90 credits, including a limit of 64 credits from any 2-year schools.
