Introduces general chemistry and explores topics to a much greater depth than preparatory courses. Topics include: measurement, energy and matter, periodic trends, chemical composition, chemical reactions, solutions, bond theory, gases, thermodynamics, problem-solving (applied mathematics) and special topics. Special Note: Assumes prior knowledge of algebra and high school chemistry. CHEM A105L is the lab component of this course and requires a separate registration.
