Examines and encourages the development of useful managerial and behavioral skills by familiarizing the student with the theories and practices in the field of management and organizational behavior. Topics include goal setting, planning, behavior modification, human factors in the organization, decision-making, and control. Prerequisites: At least Junior standing. Credits: 4 cr. Centered on developing a working knowledge of the key theories that deal with human behavior in work settings. Content includes: individual differences, personality, attitudes, perception, attribution, and biases. Also includes the major theories of motivation and leadership, dynamics of group interaction, teams, social processes, diversity, organizational culture, and ethics. Registration Restrictions: College of Business and Public Policy majors must be admitted to upper-division standing.
