The visual arts of the Prehistoric, Ancient Near Eastern, Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Early Christian, Byzantine, Romanesque, and Gothic periods will be introduced. The art historical development, formal elements, design principles, and technical factors of significance in the production of works. Fall semester.
