Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    Include an official copy of your high school and/or college transcripts if they were not previously sent.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    You'll need one or more letters of recommendation, depending on which program you're applying for.
  • Other Requirements:
    Due to the unique curriculum, CIA only accepts selected business management and liberal arts courses. We don't accept credits for culinary arts, baking and pastry arts, or hospitality and service management (restaurant) courses.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    You must have completed the course to be transferred with a grade of "C" or better.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    You may not receive credit for all courses if the number of credits reduces the amount for a semester below the 12 credtis required for full-time study. A 45 credit hour, 3 semester residency is required.
