Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Not published.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Prospective transfer applicants must present an official transcript from each college-level institution attended. Transfer applicants with less than 20 hours of college credit must also present secondary school records.
  • SAT Scores:
    Transfer applicants with less than 20 hours of college credit must present ACT or SAT scores.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    A recommendation from an appropriate university official from each institution attended as a full-time student may also be required.
  • Other Requirements:
    A resume or a statement of activities may be required to account for extended periods of non-enrollment.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    In general, credit may be granted for courses taken that are comparable to Xavier courses and a grade of at least a C has been earned.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A degree will be conferred only after the applicant has fulfilled the requirement of at least 25% of course credit in residence, eighteen hours of which must be in the major. A max of 60/2-year and 100/4-year semester hours will be accepted.
