Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Transfer applicants must meet one of the following requirements: 12-23 transferable credits and a minimum 2.5 GPA; up to 23 transferable credits, a minimum 2.0 college GPA; or 24 or more transferable college credits and a minimum 2.0 college GPA.
  • Official Transcripts:
    A final, official transcript must be sent directly from the high school to the university, and official college transcripts sent directly from all colleges previously attended are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    Students with less than 24 transferable credits: must submit Scholastic Assessment Test Reports if you graduated from high school within the last three years.
  • Essay:
    You have the opportunity to submit an optional essay. For all applicants with a break in their education, a written explanation is required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $40 nonrefundable application fee.
  • Interview:
    A personal interview is not required for admission consideration.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    In order to transfer credits to Worcester State University you must attain a C– or better in each course.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A max of 65 credits will be accepted from a 2-year institution, a 90 credits from a 4-year. You must complete 30 credits at Worcester State to receive a bachelor's degree.
