Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Students must have a cumulative G.P.A. of 2.0 or higher.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Transfer students under the age of 24 must submit an official high school transcript, unless you have been enrolled in one of the 16 University of NC system schools. College transcripts from every institution attended are required of all applicants.
  • SAT Scores:
    WSSU requires applicants to submit SAT or ACT scores. We prefer scores from the SAT Reasoning Test and do not require Subject Tests.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    You must submit a Statement of Good Standing from your prior institution.
  • Essay:
    An essay is not required, but is considered.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $40 nonrefundable application fee.
  • Interview:
    A personal interview is not required, but is considered.
  • Other Requirements:
    The Statement of Confidential Information found within the application must also be submitted.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Letter grades of "C" or higher in college-level coursework are considered in the transfer of credit.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    No minimum credits required. Maximum credits from a two-year institution - 64 credits.
