Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Wilmington University accepts for transfer a maximum of 90 hours* towards a bachelor’s degree and 30 hours towards an associate’s degree. All credits must be from an accredited institution that is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), earned with a grade of “C” or better. Education majors seeking to transfer credits must have received previous credits from a regionally accredited institution. A transfer student with a cumulative GPA of less than 2.0 will be interviewed by an academic representative to determine an appropriate course schedule.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Submit official transcripts from all previously attended post-secondary institutions directly to the Office of Admissions. Students with fewer than 15 accepted transfer credits are required to submit an official high school transcript or GED.
  • SAT Scores:
    SAT I scores are taken into consideration, but they are not required for admission to the University.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $35 application fee.
  • Other Requirements:
    Transcripts can be submitted electronically or sent directly from the school of attendance in a sealed envelope to: Wilmington University Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
