Williams Baptist College is a four-year, coeducational, liberal arts college. Williams is a private institution, owned and operated by the Arkansas Baptist State Convention. WBC is located at Walnut Ridge, a community of about 7,000 people in northeast Arkansas. WBC offers 25 major fields among its diverse programs of study. The student/teacher ratio is 13:1, allowing students to receive personal attention from their instructors. Average classroom size is 17. More than half of the faculty hold doctorates, and all have master's degrees. Our student body includes men and women from 12 states and 5 foreign countries. Enrollment for the fall 2006 semester was 625. Over 60% of students on the Walnut Ridge campus are resident students.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts of all previous college work are required. Applicants with less than 24 hours of acceptable credit must furnish high school transcripts or official GED scores.
  • SAT Scores:
    Applicants with less than 24 hours of acceptable credit must furnish results of an ACT or SAT examination.
  • Other Requirements:
    For applicants planning on studying full-time and/or those desiring to live on campus, an immunization record.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    All grades from acceptable college-level courses will be used in calculating the cumulative GPA. Students who wish to retake those compatible courses in which they have received a D or F must repeat those courses at Williams.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    No more than 66 semester hours will be accepted from an accredited 2-year institution. Up to 30 hours may be accepted from a regionally accredited theological seminary or from educational institutions not accredited by a regional accrediting agency.
