Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    When applying, you must present at least 12 college-level credits with a minimum 2.0 grade point average (some majors, such as nursing and computer science, require a 2.5 GPA).
  • Official Transcripts:
    High school transcripts are required if applying with less than 12 credits. College transcript(s) from every institution attended are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    SAT/ACT scores are required if applying with less than 12 credits.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Not required for admissions consideration.
  • Essay:
    An essay is optional.
  • Application Fee:
    Yes, $50 nonrefundable fee must be submitted with the application.
  • Interview:
    Not required for admissions consideration.
  • Other Requirements:
    Applicants interested in special education or teacher certification must also apply to The College of Education. Additional requirements apply to Nursing, Art and Music Majors. If applying with 60 or more credits applicants must declare a major.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    In general, credit may be granted for courses where a grade of at least a C has been earned. Applicants applying to the business program may have a maximum of 2 courses with a grade of C- or lower in business coursework.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Minimum credits - 12 credits. Maximum credits from a two-year institution - 70 credits. Maximum credits from a four-year institution - 90 credits. No more than 15 transfer credits required for the major will be accepted.
