Financial Information

• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  99% of the most recent incoming class received a combination of merit-based scholarship and/or financial aid. If Jewell is the best fit for you, we’ll work hard to help you secure the funding you need for an invaluable education.

Information for Transfer In Students

• Accepts Transfers:
  Typically, a transfer student is someone who, after graduating from high school, has completed at least 12 transferable hours of college credit.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  Students must normally present a GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale to be considered for admission.
• Official Transcripts:
  Request that your Official Transcripts from any previous institution be forwarded to the Office of Admission.
• SAT Scores:
  If you have completed fewer than 24 credit hours, please submit your SAT/ACT scores.
• Essay:
  Using between 250 and 500 words, please submit a writing sample on a topic of your choice. You may substitute a graded paper of similar length.
• Application Fee:
  There is no application fee.
• Other Requirements:
  Transfer students with fewer than 26 college credit hours will normally complete William Jewell’s Core Curriculum in its entirety through William Jewell courses (exceptions may be made for some Level I courses).

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  Courses will be considered for credit as they apply to the curriculum offered at William Jewell College, provided the student presents course grades of C- or higher.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  A minimum of 30 semester hours must normally be completed in residence atWilliam Jewell, including at least 12 hours in the major, to meet graduation requirements.
