Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    The minimum GPA requirements are: a 2.50 cumulative college level GPA with an associate of arts /associate of arts and science degree or 2.70 cumulative college level without associates of arts /associate of arts and sciences degree.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts from each college you have attended are required. If you are transferring within 2 years of graduating from high school or have less than 45 quarter/30 semester credits, an official high school transcript is also required.
  • SAT Scores:
    The submission of standardized test scores is not required.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    A letter of recommendation from a professor or counselor telling us of your academic success as a college/university student is required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is no fee to apply to Whitworth. You may apply online for free.
  • Interview:
    Whitworth does not publish a requirement for a personal interview for transfer admission consideration.
  • Other Requirements:
    Students who are under the age of 19 or who graduated from high school within two years prior to entering Whitworth must live on campus.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The minimum grade accepted for transfer credit is C-.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A max of 96 quarter (64 semester) credits are accepted from regionally accredited 2-year institutions, 94 from 4-year or a combination. Every student must complete a minimum of 32 at Whitworth.
