  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    To be considered for all financial aid offered through Westfield State, you only need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Westfield State offers merit scholarships based on the Application for Admission (There are no separate scholarship applications.) However, students are encouraged to apply for private scholarships as well.
  • Tuition and Fees:
    Tuition: $150 Deposit, $970 annually In-State; $7,050 annually Out-of-State; $1,455 annually New England Regional. Fees: $10,169 annually; $11,963 annually Nursing Students. Housing: $150 Deposit; $7,050-$10,490. Dining: $2,232 Owl Plan.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Depending upon choice of major and number of credits earned, the minimum cumulative grade point average generally required for transfer admission consideration, exclusive of developmental or other nontransferable course work, varies from 2.00 to 2.80 (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts for all colleges or universities you’ve attended are required. If you are or will be a MA Community College graduate, your official high school transcript or GED score report are not required.
  • SAT Scores:
    Applicants with fewer than 24 transferable credit hours earned at the time of application also must submit SAT or ACT scores, unless they graduated high school more than three years prior to their planned enrollment term at Westfield.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Letters of Recommendation are optional.
  • Essay:
    A college essay is optional.
  • Application Fee:
    Waived for transfer applicants.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Courses with grades C- or higher will transfer.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Up to 90 credits from four-year regionally accredited colleges and universities. Up to 79 credits from two-year regionally accredited institutions. You must complete a minimum of 30 credits at Westfield to earn your bachelor's degree.
