Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A minimum college grade point average of 2.00 is required of transfer applicants.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official high school transcripts are only required if you have earned fewer than 26 semester hours. Official college transcripts are required by all who wish to have admission consideration.
  • SAT Scores:
    Standardized test scores are recommended by some for admission consideration these people have earned fewer than 26 semester hours.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Statement of good standing from prior institution(s) is not required for admission consideration.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is recommended by some for admission consideration and will be notified if it is needed.
  • Application Fee:
    The University charges a one-time admission application processing fee of $35.00.
  • Interview:
    An interview is recommended by some for admission consideration and will be notified if it is needed
  • Other Requirements:
    Transferable courses completed at another college will be accepted for credit only. Grades earned inthose classes will be used only to determine admissibility to WMU; they will not be recorded on theWMU transcript.

    The lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit is a C or higher.
