Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Transfer students must have a minimum GPA of ā€œCā€ (2.0 on 4.0 unweighted scale) for the last semester of full-time work, a cumulative GPA of ā€œCā€ (2.0 on 4.0 unweighted scale) and be in good standing at the institution from which they are transferring.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official college transcripts are required. High School transcripts will be required for students with fewer than 24 hours earned.
  • SAT Scores:
    High School transcripts and ACT/SAT test scores will be required for students with fewer than 24 hours earned.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Letter of recommendation are not required, but a Statement of Good Standing my be submitted from your previous institution.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is not required.
  • Application Fee:
    The application fee is $40.00 for domestic students and $75.00 for international students, and is non-refundable.
  • Interview:
    There is no requirement for an interview.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Generally, a "D" in the minimum grade required for transfer credit. Some academic departments require a minimum grade of "C" in each course applicable toward a major.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    The min credits you must complete at WKU to earn an associate degree is 15 (25% of 60), and 30 (25% of 120) to earn a bachelor's degree.
