  • Accepts Transfers:
    Each year, hundreds of students transfer to Webster from local community colleges and four-year universities throughout the state and country.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A cumulative GPA on all college level coursework of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is preferred; however, each applicant is given individual consideration.
  • Official Transcripts:
    An official transcript mailed directly from each college or university attended is required (if you have completed fewer than 30 credit hours, you must also submit a copy of your high school transcript or GED).
  • SAT Scores:
    ACT or SAT scores are not required for transfer students if you have been out of high school for more than one year.
  • Essay:
    Submit an essay of 300-500 words on a topic of your choice. Transfer students may submit a short paper written for a college class. Evening students must submit an autobiographical essay or a professional resume.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $35 non-refundable application processing fee.
  • Interview:
    If you have circumstances, which might affect your admission, they may be discussed confidentially with a member of the admissions staff.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    Courses included in a completed A.A. degree, A.F.A. degree, A.S. degree, or A.A.S. degree will transfer to Webster University provided they are college level (100-level or above).
  • Other Requirements:
    If you plan to major in Art, Dance, Film Production, Music, or Theatre, you will be required to present a portfolio, audition or interview. Please contact the Undergraduate Admission Office for further information, dates and deadlines.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Transfer credit will generally be granted for college level courses completed with a passing grade. Courses completed with the grade of ā€œDā€ may transfer with restrictions.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A maximum of 64 credit hours of community college credit may be transferred without an Associate degree.
