Waycross College is located on South GA Parkway at Augusta Avenue in Ware County, GA, and is within the city limits of Waycross. The 150 acre campus includes beautifully wooded land, two lakes, a paracourse walking trail, gymnasium, and tennis and racquetball courts. The campus abounds with flora native to southeast Georgia, including wild flowers, palmetto palms, slash pines, and other attractive plants. Campus buildings include the Administrative, Educational, Physical Education, and the James M. Dye Student Services Building – named for Waycross College’s founding president – which contains admissions, financial aid, student records, counseling, student life, the Swamp Fox Café, the Academic Support Center, classrooms, and game rooms.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    If you are transferring from another college, submit official transcripts from all colleges attended. A copy of your high school diploma or GED is also required.
  • SAT Scores:
    You must submit official SAT or ACT scores for Learning Support exemption or take the COMPASS entrance examination.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $20 non-refundable application fee.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    No freshman English course with grades less than C may be transferred.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    If you have fewer than 30 transferable semester hours, freshmen requirements must be met. A maximum of 42 semester hours of combined academic credit from all sources may be accepted as degree credit.
