  Completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid ensures that W&J can provide you with our best financial aid offer possible. We will invest in you, so you can invest in yourself. Transfer students qualify for the same merit-based scholarships available for first-year students.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Official Transcripts:
  Your official high school transcript and official college transcripts for all colleges attended are required.
• SAT Scores:
  Official SAT/ACT scores are required unless you have applied as Score Optional.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  Washington & Jefferson College typically accepts three-or four-credit college-level academic courses (with course descriptions similar to W&J offerings) with grades of a C- or above from an accredited institution for transfer credit.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  No more than 16 courses from other institutions may be applied toward W&J's graduation requirements. Only grades attained at W&J will be used to compute a student's grade point average. A student must complete 16 courses at W&J to obtain a degree.
