Transfer Application Requirements

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Washington & Jefferson College typically accepts three-or four-credit college-level academic courses (with course descriptions similar to W&J offerings) with grades of a C- or above from an accredited institution for transfer credit.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    No more than 16 courses from other institutions may be applied toward W&J's graduation requirements. Only grades attained at W&J will be used to compute a student's grade point average. A student must complete 16 courses at W&J to obtain a degree.
