  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    There are numerous grants and scholarships for transfer students, including Transfer Grants of $7,000 and Transfer Scholarships from $8,500 to $12,000. Talk with an Admissions Counselor for further information about scholarships and financial aid.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    Students transferring to Wartburg must submit final transcripts from all institutions previously attended. International student transfers may need to submit transcript translations.
  • SAT Scores:
    The submission of SAT/ACT scores is required.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Ask a college professor to complete and mail the Academic Recommendation Form to the Admissions Office. You must also submit a Transfer Reference Form.
  • Essay:
    A personal statement or paper submitted for a high school or college class is required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is no fee to apply at Wartburg.
  • Interview:
    A campus visit and interview with an Admissions Counselor is recommended.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Students may transfer credit for all Wartburg-equivalent learning experiences that earned a grade of C- or above at an accredited college or university.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Students may transfer up to 22 course credits (78 sem. hours) from regionally accredited two-year institutions. Students who have received an associate degree from an accredited college or university will receive 18 course credits (64 sem. hours).
