Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A minimum GPA of 2.25 (4.0 scale) is required. A 2.75 is required for nursing and dietetics majors, and a 2.50 is required for teacher education, and social work programs.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official copies of high school and college/university transcripts must be mailed directly to Viterbo University, or sent electronically through many student services portals. Hand carried copies are not accepted.
  • SAT Scores:
    ACT/SAT scores are required for nursing, dietetics, music theatre, and theatre majors only IF a student is within three years of completing high school.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Not Required
  • Essay:
    Not Required
  • Application Fee:

  • Interview:
    Placement testing in math, reading, writing and/or an interview may be asked for students who do not meet minimum GPA requirements.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Credit for college level work is granted in all areas that correspond to courses offered at Viterbo University as long as the student earned a grade of a "C" or better.
