Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    If you have less than 24 transferable hours you must meet freshman high school GPA and SAT/ACT requirements for admission. 2.0 cumulative college GPA for all courses as calculated by the UNC Charlotte Undergraduate Admissions Office. Student must be in good standing and eligible to return to the last school attended.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Transfer students are required to submit one official transcript from every college or university attended. A high school transcript is required for all transfer students.
  • SAT Scores:
    Standardized test scores may be required of some applicants.
  • Essay:
    An essay may be required of some applicants.
  • Interview:
    An interview may be recommended for some applicants.

  • Minimum Grade:
    No credit below C level will be accepted; grade points and averages do not transfer.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A maximum of 64 credit hours will be accepted. You must earn 30 credit hours in residence at UNC Charlotte to receive a bachelor's degree.
