Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Students applying to the University of Missouri - St. Louis for full-time or part-time attendance with 24 or more transferable, college-level credit hours will need a cumulative college GPA of 2.0 or higher to be considered for admission.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Applicants with 24 or more transferable, college-level credit hours need only submit transcripts from all schools previously attended. Those with less than 24 transferable credit hours will need to submit high school transcripts.
  • SAT Scores:
    You must submit official standardized test scores if you have less than 24 transferable credit hours.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is not required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $35 nonrefundable application fee.
  • Interview:
    USML does not require a personal interview for admission consideration.
  • Other Requirements:
    Students planning on majoring in Education must also submit high school transcripts, regardless of credit hour amount.

    The max credits from a 2-year varies, and the max from a 4-year is 96. You must earn 24 credits at UMSL to receive for a bachelor's degree.
