  The University of Utah offers a variety of financial aid options including loans, scholarships and work study programs.

Information for Transfer In Students

• Accepts Transfers:
  Yes. Transfer students are those who have graduated from high school or earned a GED/HiSET and have previously attended a regionally accredited college or university but have not yet completed a bachelor’s degree.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  The average GPA of admitted transfer students is a 3.4. Applicants are reviewed holistically with attention paid to grade trends, responsibilities and involvement outside of school and academic goals. Transferable GPA does not include: Remedial courses Credit received from non-regionally accredited institutions Credit awarded by exam (AP, IB, CLEP, FLATS, etc.)
• Official Transcripts:
  You are required to submit official transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges or universities you have previously attended. Official high school transcripts are required if you have fewer than 30 transferrable semester units (45 quarter).
• SAT Scores:
  If you have completed fewer than 30 transferable semester units (45 quarter) AND you graduated from a non-regionally accredited high school, were homeschooled, or earned a GED/HiSET, you are required to submit official ACT or SAT scores.
• Letters of Recommendation:
  Letters of recommendation are not required for admission consideration.
• Essay:
  An essay or personal statement is not required for admission consideration.
• Application Fee:
  Non-refundable application fee of $55 for domestic students and $65 for international students. Some students may qualify for a fee waiver.
• Interview:
  The University of Utah does not conduct admissions interviews.
• Associates Degree Required:
  Associates degrees are not required for transfer admission.
• Other Requirements:
  Many undergraduate majors have admission requirements more stringent than those required for entry to the University. Transfer students should consider those requirements as they plan their transfer curriculum.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  The lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit is a D-.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  There is no limit to the maximum number of credits that may be transferred from a two-year or four-year institution. You must take 30 credits in residence at Utah to earn a bachelor's degree.
