  • Accepts Transfers:
    A student who has been formally admitted to another accredited college or university and has attempted 13 or more college credits is considered a transfer student.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Southwest requires a minimum GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for transfer admission consideration.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Southwest requires the submission of all school transcripts from high school, GED, and any college or university coursework.
  • SAT Scores:
    You are also required to submit official SAT or ACT scores.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $25 nonrefundable application fee.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Intermediate courses, D’s, or F’s will not be accepted.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Transfer students from an accredited college or university must complete at least 30 upper level hours at University of the Southwest plus other institutional or degree specific requirements.
