Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Undergraduate transfer students GPA requirements vary based on program of study.
  • Official Transcripts:
    High school transcripts and college transcripts from every college attended are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    SAT scores are required. If you have completed fewer than 30 transferable credits, admissions will be based primarily on your high school record and SAT or ACT scores.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Requirements vary according to USC school.
  • Essay:
    A personal statement and Activity Summary sheet are required components of the application.
  • Application Fee:
    Yes, $65 nonrefundable application fee must be submitted with the application.
  • Interview:
    Requirement varies according to USC school.
  • Other Requirements:
    Transfer students must complete specific English and math courses before applying. Though not required, it's recommended that you take courses that fulfill USC core requirements and lower-division coursework in your intended major prior to applying.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    In general, credit is granted for courses taken at accredited institutions when a grade of at least a C has been earned. (However, courses where below a grade of C was earned will still affect your transfer GPA.)
