Transfer Agreements:
USD's faculty-approved articulation agreements assist students in planning and taking appropriate courses at identified community colleges for transfer to USD.
Transfer Application Requirements
Minimum GPA:
Transfer students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 are eligible to apply.
Official Transcripts:
Official transcripts from all previously attended institutions is required. Transfer students under the age of 24 who have earned fewer than 24 semester credits must also submit official high school transcripts.
SAT Scores:
Official ACT or SAT scores are required for transfer students under the age of 21.
Essay:
An essay may be required for admission to some programs.
Application Fee:
There is a non-refundable $20 application fee.
Interview:
An interview is not required.

Transfer Credit Policy
Minimum Grade:
Transfer credits are accepted with the same grade/credit as recorded on the original transcript from your previous institution. Grades of F or the equivalent in a course otherwise transferable will be incorporated in calculating your cumulative GPA.
Credits (Min/Max):
In order to receive a bachelor's degree, you must complete a min of 32 hours of USD credit, including 16 of the final 32 hours completed immediately prior to the degree. At least 50% of the coursework required for your major must be earned at USD.
