    Financial aid comes in many forms and from many sources, but it all adds up to one thing an outstanding education that’s affordable. Through scholarships, grants, loans and other resources, over 65% of Richmond students receive some type of financial aid.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    While the minimum GPA for consideration is a 2.0, most successful applicants have grade point averages above 3.0.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Students must submit their high school transcript for evaluation. The weight the high school transcript is evaluated on varies based on the amount of college work completed.
  • SAT Scores:
    Results of the SAT-I, SAT-II Subject Tests and/or the ACT are NOT required for transfer students but are welcome should students wish to submit them.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Statement of good standing from previous institution(s).
  • Essay:
    An entrance essay is required of all who apply.
  • Application Fee:
    A nonrefundable application fee of $50.
  • Interview:
    An interview is not required for transfer applicants.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit is a C of higher.
