Minimum GPA:
A strong candidate for transfer admission to UNC will have at least a 2.4 cumulative GPA from all schools attended. Students with a cumulative GPA below 2.4 will be considered on an individual basis.
Official Transcripts:
Official transcripts are required from all previously attended universities for admission consideration. Applicants who have completed fewer than 30 college-level semester credit hours must also submit a final high school transcript.
SAT Scores:
Standardized test scores are recommended of some and will be notified if needed for admission consideration.
Letters of Recommendation:
Letters of recommendation are not required for admission, but are encouraged for students who have a cumulative GPA less than 2.4.
Essay:
A personal statement is not required for admission, but are encouraged for students who have a cumulative GPA less than 2.4.
Application Fee:
The Fee is $45 for students transferring from a four-year institution, and $25 for students transferring from a two-year institution.
Associates Degree Required:
If an Associate of Arts (AA) or an Associate of Science (AS) Degree is based in the liberal arts and the award of the degree is shown on an official transcript, the Liberal Arts Core will be waived.
Other Requirements:
Acceptance to the University of Northern Colorado does not guarantee admission to all majors; some programs require a separate application or screen process for admission.
