  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Begin by filing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The UNH priority date for submitting the FAFSA is March 1. Accepted transfer students from both associate degree programs and from four year colleges are eligible for scholarships based on listed criteria. Applications must be submitted by the semester deadlines to be eligible for these scholarships. They are not available to students who have already received a bachelor's degree.
  • Tuition and Fees:
    Total resident cost of attendance $34,830; nonresident $52,920; regional $47,220.

  • Accepts Transfers:
    You are considered a transfer student if you've graduated from high school or earned the equivalent of a high school diploma and have earned a minimum of 16 credit hours towards a degree program at another higher ed institution.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Transfer students must submit a GPA of 3.0 in general education curriculum and an overall GPA of 2.8.
  • Official Transcripts:
    An official high school diploma or GED or HiSET scores are required. An official college transcripts is also required.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is recommended.
  • Application Fee:
    $50 for New Hampshire residents and $65 for non-residents. Fee waivers can be requested through the common or coalition application.
  • Other Requirements:
    A statement of good standing from your prior institution is recommended.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The minimum grade accepted for transfer credit is C or its equivalent.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A maximum of 72 credit hours from a two-year institution and 96 from a four-year institution may be transferred. You must earn 16 credit hours at UNH to earn an associate degree, and 32 credit hours to earn a bachelor's degree.
