Scholarships and Financial Aid:

Transfer students can qualify for multiple scholarships. Scholarships based on financial need require a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be filed. In order to be considered for need-based scholarships, students should file the FAFSA before March 1st each year at https://studentaid.gov. The FAFSA school code for UM is 001004.

Transfer Application Requirements

Official Transcripts:

Official college transcripts for all colleges and universities attended are required. Students who have completed less than 24 semester hours (or 36 quarter hours) of college-level study must also submit a secondary-school transcript.
SAT Scores:

Students who have completed less than 24 semester hours (or 36 quarter hours) of college-level study must also submit either an ACT or SAT score report and must satisfy all requirements for freshman admission.
Application Fee:

$30 non-refundable
Other Requirements:

A transfer applicant must be a student in good standing. Neither probation nor suspension can be in effect at the previous or current college or university attended.

No more than 64 semester credit hours from a community or junior college may be applied toward UM degree requirements.
