    We highly suggest take advantage of all the opportunities to pay for college by filing for the FAFSA. Mizzou offers scholarships specifically for transfer students. All you need to do to qualify is apply.

    Total Estimated Direct Costs Per Year: $23,932 Missouri Residents; $41,136 Non-Missouri Residents. These include tuition, fees, housing, and dining. They do not include estimates for books, supplies, residence hall fees and any personal expenses.

  • Accepts Transfers:
    You’re a transfer student if you are a degree-seeking student who has received a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate, and completed course work during a regular session at a college or university.

    Mizzou has formal agreements with colleges throughout the state to help simplify the transfer process for you.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    To be admitted to Mizzou as a transfer student you must: have 24 or more completed college level credits with a 2.5 GPA and EITHER a grade of C- or better in a transferable math or English composition course; or meet MU’s freshman admission requirements and have a 2.5 GPA in college-level transferable coursework; or have a 2.0 GPA from a regionally accredited Missouri community college and EITHER an associate of arts (AA) degree or the Missouri Core 42 designation from a regionally accredited Missouri college.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Request that your final official high school transcript showing your graduation date (if you have less than 24 hours of college credit) and official transcripts of any college coursework from any college you attended be sent directly to Admissions.
  • SAT Scores:
    Transfer students are not eligible for test-optional admission. If you have less than 24 completed credits at the time of your application, have your ACT or SAT scores sent to the Office of Admissions.
  • Interview:
    An interview may be required of some.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    If you have an Associate of Arts degree from a regionally accredited Missouri community college, you automatically meet the general admission requirements.

    A minimum grade of C is required for transfer credit.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    The maximum number of credits that may be accepted for transfer varies by school/college. You must earn a minimum of 30 credits at Mizzou to earn a bachelor's degree.
