  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    The FAFSA is the only application needed to receive federal, state, or institutional financial aid. Our Federal School Code is 002389. Students transferring to UMN Morris from a regionally accredited college, including other institutions within the University of Minnesota system, with at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA (calculated based on transferable credits), qualify for a transfer scholarship package ranging from $3,000-$6,000 disbursed evenly for up to six consecutive semesters.
  • Tuition and Fees:
    Estimated Cost of Attendance: $26,292 Resident | $28,422 Non-Resident | $27,376 MSEP Resident. We have reciprocity agreements with WI, ND, SD, and Manitoba. If you are a resident of any, you may qualify for Resident tuition rates.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A 2.50 cumulative GPA from your transfer institution(s) is required to be considered for admission. Applicants who are near or below this requirement, or who have semesters below this benchmark, will be considered individually. In addition to your application, please provide a written statement about the circumstances contributing to any academic hardship and explain how you have addressed these issues to ensure your future college success. If you have not completed 30 college credits after graduating high school at the time you submit your application, your high school record will also be taken into consideration.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Request that official college transcripts from each institution you have attended be sent directly to Morris. If you have earned fewer than 30 transferable credit, official high school transcripts or GED are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    Not required.
  • Essay:
    We encourage written statements if there are any extenuating circumstances we should take into account when reviewing your application.
  • Application Fee:
    $35 non-refundable | $25 if applying online
  • Interview:
    Not required.
