  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    In order to apply for any federal aid for college, you must first fill out and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). 003509 is the school code for the University of Memphis. Students interested in transferring to the University of Memphis are encouraged to apply for scholarship opportunities. A separate application is required for both the Community College Transfer Scholarship and Four-Year University Transfer Scholarship.
  • Tuition and Fees:
    Tuition and fee charges for all courses will be assessed by a student’s level and residency status. Students enrolled in the UM-Global are assessed tuition and fees based on the level of their program.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Typically, a cumulative 2.0 GPA (in college) is expected to be admitted as a transfer student.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Provide official transcript(s) for any post-secondary institution with a cumulative GPA for all academic work attempted. A final high school transcript is required if you have earned fewer than 15 college credits.
  • SAT Scores:
    If you have earned fewer than 15 college credits, standardized exam results are required.
  • Application Fee:
    $25 non-refundable
  • Interview:
    An interview may be required for some programs.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    With the Tennessee Transfer programs, you can begin your college studies at a community college or similar two-year program and earn an associate degree, plus rest assured your credits will transfer to a bachelor’s degree program at UofM.
  • Other Requirements:
    First-Time Transfer Applicants, who have not completed 15 transferable hours by the time they enroll at the University of Memphis, must also satisfy New Freshman Applicant Requirements to be eligible for admission.

    The lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit is C.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    You must complete 30 credits at UofM to earn a bachelor's degree.
